What is the difference between the 24 V and 230 V versions?
The main difference is the power line available on site:
24 V ac/dc version (e.g. ASF25L2RV): for direct connection to the low-voltage outputs of gate and road-barrier control units. It draws about 2.6 W per light at 24 V dc and up to 4.3 W at 24 V ac.
230 V ac version (e.g. ASF25L2RV230): has an internal power supply for direct connection to the normal 230 V mains. It draws about 6.2 W per light (power module included).
If you already have a 24 V traffic light, you can still connect it to the 230 V mains by buying the optional internal transformer kit ASFK230 separately.
What are the directional versions?
2-light traffic lights with red cross ("X") and green arrow, to show the lane or permitted direction of travel. Codes ASF25L2RVD (24 V) and ASF25L2RV230D (230 V). The DFS and DFD versions add a left or right arrow (ASF25L2RVDFS, ASF25L2RVDFD and the 230 V versions ASF25L2RV230DFS, ASF25L2RV230DFD).
Is there a single red/green lens?
Yes: ASF50L1RV (24 V) and ASF50L1RV230 (230 V) have a single 120 mm lens that lights up red or green. Useful where minimum footprint is needed, for example to manage entry numbers.
How much does it consume compared with a bulb traffic light?
A 6.2 W LED traffic light that is always on uses about 54 kWh a year, compared with over 650 kWh for a traditional one with a 75 W bulb. Simulate your system with the energy impact calculator.
